Individual Note: In the 1850 Federal Census, Linus & Nancy Bronson, ages 30 & 33, are living at Meredith, Delaware Co., NY, with her parents.

I have not been able to locate them in any other censuses.

Individual Note: In the 1900 Federal Census, I believe he is the William Remington living at Winchester, Litchfield Co., CT. His parents are also living in that town.

In the 1920 & 1930 censuses they are still at Winchester, CT.

Individual Note: In the 1900 Federal Census, he is probably the Aron C. Remington, age 23 NY, living at Delta, Delta Co., CO, working as a railroad clerk.

In 1910 he is Avon C. Remington, 33 NY, still living at Delta, CO. He is now married to May F., age 26 NY, and has a daughter Nieva, 3, CO.

In 1920 they are still at Delta. Avon is 43, Fern M. is 35, and their children are: Neva C. 13, and Avon 4 1/2.

In 1930 the family is still at Delta: Avon 53, Fern M. 45, & Avon Jr. 14.

He married N. Maria Remington as his second wife; according to census data, his first wife was named Olive.

Individual Note:   In the 1920 Federal Census, John A. & Rosaline Remington are living at Potsdam, St. Lawrence Co., NY. They have three young daughters.

In 1930 they are at Adams, Jefferson Co., NY. They now have four daughters.

Individual Note:   Elizabeth's maiden name as Farley was given to me by a descendant, Randall Fritz: Elizabeth was born July 18,1823 in East Sidney NY and died July 27, 1899 in Deposit , NY (I believe). She was 75 y 4 m 12 d old.

Another descendant, Armanda, has corrected the above and says that Elizabeth's maiden name was Carley, and her father was Jonathan.

Individual Note: In the 1870 Federal Census, he is probably the Charles Remington, 18 NY, living at Franklin, Delaware Co., NY, a farm laborer living with the Sherwood and Chamberlin families.

Individual Note: In the 1870 census, his name looks a bit like David.

In the Federal Census of 1900, Daniel & Lucy, ages 43 & 29, are living at Windsor, Broome Co., NY. With them is Lucy's widowed mother, Phebe Seward, age 75, born Feb 1825 NY. Also in the household is a boarder, Stephen Thatcher. According to the census data, Daniel & Lucy have been married less than a year.

I have roughly estimated the birth years of Daniel & Lucy's children.

Individual Note: She may be the Julia Remington who married George F. Wolcott on 31 Dec 1879 at Meredith or Downsville, NY. The age and location would match. In the 1880 Federal Census, George & Julia Wolcott, ages 26 & 21, are living at Meredith, Delaware Co., NY.

She married William Stringer about 1898.

Julia's age fluctuates in the later censuses, possibly because William was younger than she. According to the 1900 census, she was born in Nov 1863. However, she was born before the 1860 census.
