In the 1860 Federal Census, George & Esther are living at Warwick, RI. He is age 49 and she is 37; they have two six-year-old daughters.

In the 1870 and 1880 Federal Censuses, George & Esther are living at East Greenwich, RI. In 1870 they have two 17-year-old daughters in the household.

George's age has changed from 50 in 1870, to 69 in 1880. However, the most consistent date of birth for him seems to be c1811.

Note for:   Stephen Remington,   ABT 1730 -          Index

Individual Note:   I am including Stephen as a son in this family group solely on the basis of the Revolutionary Pension File of Tiddeman Remington. A letter in this file states that Tiddeman served three months of his enlistment time on behalf of his uncle Stephen Remington. However, I can not see exactly where Tiddeman states that Stephen was his uncle, but the letter, written later, says this.

Could he be the Stephen Remington who was an Ensign at Jamestown and married Sarah Nichols? (see note at Newport Historical Society)
